Brittany Bearden-Sousa is a recently divorced single mother of 6 children residing in California. 2 biological, 2 adopted, 1 step child and legal guardian/parent to her niece. In Part 1 of this episode Brittany and I discuss her childhood with two parents suffering from substance abuse, both in and out of recovery often. Dating, marriage to her ex-spouse who was many of her firsts, after putting up walls due to childhood trauma. Deciding to start a family, infertility and the life changing choice to become a foster/adoptive mother. Eventually welcoming two more children as permanent family members. All of which are decisions which led to her life now a single mother.
